Intussusception after monovalent rotavirus vaccine — United States, vaccine adverse event reporting system (VAERS)
This study admits that bowel intussesception (the collapsing of intestines) after children are vaccinated with Rotarix against rotavirus. 108 children in VAERS had the condition, mostly right after the shot, and 44% of them required surgery. The shot is still listed in the CDC schedule.
