This is just a brief status update. By stipulation, we have amended the complaint in order to somewhat narrow the scope of factual issues for discovery and trial and to make some adjustments to the parties (for example, to substitute Alberto Carvalho as the new Superintendent of LAUSD). The defendant’s response to the Second Amended Complaint is due on Monday, March 28.
We have also served our initial round of written discovery requests. These consist of written questions that must be answered under oath, as well as requests for documents. The responses to those requests will be due in about three weeks.
